Reaching Our Changing World for Christ

Family Life Center

HISTORY
In July 2002, the church approved the construction of a Family Life Center.  Construction began on July 10, 2002.  The footings were dug for the 22,000 square foot structure.  A three-year giving program was instigated.

Many  people donated time, materials, and labor to the construction of the Family Life Center.  The building, which was completed in the spring of 2003, cost slightly less than one million dollars.  The hard work of volunteers saved the church thousands of dollars.  The building was completely paid for by 2004.  The dedication of the new building was held June 1, 2003.

The steeple from the old sanctuary, which had been torn down years ago, was reassembled and placed in front of the Family Life Center on a brick platform.  This is a constant reminder of the unique testimony and historical heritage of Clemmons First Baptist Church.

Currently the "Walk for Life", a Monday - Friday 8am - 10am walking program, the Wednesday Night Fellowship Supper, and church sponsored basketball programs are all being held in the Family Life Center.
