Genesis Class

The Genesis Class is officially listed as the 45-60 year age group, but age is really not a criteria. The diversity within the class creates a warm and welcoming environment, regardless of age.

 

Our curriculum material is Explore the Bible and consists of the study of one entire book after another, alternating between Old and New Testament. As a result, we can drill fairly deeply into each book, enhancing our knowledge of scripture as well as growing together spiritually as we make application to our personal lives.

 

Each member belongs to a “care group” that helps make sure each member receives the support they need during family crises and other difficult times. We reach out to local needs such as Salem Pregnancy, Samaritan Ministries, and Operation Inasmuch.

 

Social activities include a monthly Ladies’ Night Out and an annual golf outing for the men. We encourage Sunday lunch together at a rotation of local restaurants each week and throughout the year we enjoy various outings together culminating in a Christmas fellowship at the end of the year. We maintain communication of events as well as prayer concerns through the use of an electronic newsletter each week.
