Established in 1986, the Clemmons FBC Medical Transportation Program serves adults who need a ride to a medical appointment. Adults requesting a ride must meet the guidelines for transportation.
Guidelines for Transportation
- You must live in the city limits of Clemmons, NC.
- Rides are available for appointments that occur between the hours of 9 am - 4 pm. Rides are not available on holidays or when weather conditions make driving unsafe.
- You must have a working phone so that we can get in touch with you. If your appointment is changed or canceled, call immediately to free up the time for our volunteer drivers.
- You can schedule one ride per week.
- Before entering your volunteer driver's vehicle, please refrain from wearing perfume or smoking.
- Drivers are not able to transport wheelchairs or make other stops.
- Drivers cannot sign forms or assume responsibility. For procedures requiring a responsible party or anesthesia, you must arrange for someone to travel with you.
